For Scouts, there are two payments every year: a registration fee (every 12 months) to Scouting America / Far East Council, and the Troop 60 local membership dues (every school year).
The combined Scouting America / Far East Council fee is $135. This covers administrative, safety, and operational costs for our region.
Troop 60's local dues for the 2026-2027 school year are $100. This covers the cost of Troop-specific uniform regalia (neckerchief and patches for Troop 60, Far East Council, and campouts), patrol box supplies, and any rank advancements and merit badges the Scouts earn while connected to Troop 60. Local fees are paid through our payment portal by credit card (choose "Troop 60" in the Details menu, enter your scout's name and "Troop 60 annual fee" in the Remarks field, and take a screenshot to send to admin@bsatroop60.in for our mutual records).
For Adult Volunteers (i.e., Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmasters, Committee Members, Merit Badge Counselors), there is only a fee to Scouting America / Far East Council.
Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster, or Committee Member: The combined Scouting America / Far East Council fee is $115. This covers administrative, safety, and operational costs for our region, including a background check for the adult volunteer, and being registered to teach any Merit Badge(s).
Merit Badge Counselor (who is not also registered in any other position): The Scouting America fee is $25; there is no Council fee. (NOTE: Merit Badge Counselors are not eligible to attend overnight campouts unless they are also registered in another position with Troop 60.) Once you have registered as a Merit Badge Counselor, please let the Scoutmaster know so that we can also add you to our internal spreadsheet.
